IGOR KLOKOV
classical guitarist
Igor Klokov was born in the city of Yelets, southeast of Moscow, and began playing guitar at fifteen. He completed his bachelor's degree with Prof. Vladislav Blaha at the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. In January 2022 he finished his studying at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz in class of Prof. Hubert Käppel with the highest distinction. (Master degree and Konzertexamen).
Included among the promising talents of his generation, Igor has won more that 20 international competitions, for example Koblenz International Guitar Competition (2019), the XX Guitar Art Festival and Competition in Belgrade (2019), 1st prize and "Premio al Mejor Interprete de Música Andaluza" at the XX Comarca El Condado Concurso en Santisteban del Puerto (2020). He was also awarded best interpretation of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach at the Iserlohn Guitar Festival and Competition (2018).
Igor Klokov is regularly invited as an artist, pedagogue and jury member in many music festivals around the world from Europe to South America.In May 2020 he released his debut CD "HOMMAGE" with music by Bach, Giuliani and Rodrigo, produced by the German label AureaVox.
