IGOR KLOKOV

Igor Klokov began playing the guitar at 15. He studied at the College of Arts in Russia, graduating in 2013, before moving to the Czech Republic to complete his Bachelor’s degree under Prof. Vladislav Blaha at the Janáček Academy in Brno. He continued his studies in Germany with Prof. Hubert Käppel (Koblenz International Guitar Academy and Hochschule für Musik Mainz) and later with Prof. Judicaël Perroy at the Haute École de Musique de Genève.

He has earned recognition through numerous first prizes in prestigious competitions, including Sevilla, Coria, Koblenz, and Belgrade. In 2024, he won 2nd Prize at both the 56th "Michele Pittaluga" International Guitar Competition in Alessandria and the 39th Andrés Segovia Competition in La Herradura.

Igor Klokov performs internationally and is a regular guest at music festivals worldwide. In addition to his concert appearances, he gives masterclasses and serves as a juror.
